Today I am thankful for public transportation! Yes, I know that I struggle with it, but I am still incredibly thankful that I don't have to walk EVERYWHERE! I do like to walk, but on Monday, I was reminded that even though the bus takes FOREVER to get such a short distance, I still would prefer to sit there by my hubby's side and let my feet rest! My wonderful husband planned a day full of surprises for me on Monday to celebrate my birthday. First, we went to my most FAVOURITE pastry shop and picked up some yummy treats for breakfast. We went right next door to stop by starbucks to pick up some coffee and say hi to all of our friends who work there. Then, after one small pit stop, we made our way to Oxford street! With my birthday £££ I searched all over for a new pair of winter boots to keep my feet warm and dry this season! The ones that I had from last year sadly are no more. But, it felt so good to put my feet into new boots that are exactly what I was looking for and comfy too! AND!!!! All the Christmas lights were up on Oxford Street and Regent Street! Which I absolutely LOVE! So wonderful! We made our way to Kensington where we got to ice skate outside! How magical! Thank you unnamed friends who made that possible! It was a highlight of the day for sure! Especially when I almost got squished by big tall tree man! I am sure his tailbone is still hurting. After a grab and go lunch from my favourite breakfast place {they make amazing baguettes as well} we headed back to Oxford Street and eventually made our way to Ikea! A place I never thought I would ever return to, but had a much more pleasant experience this time. After getting some goodies from Ikea, which included some Christmas decorations, we took a pit stop at home to drop everything off and then headed to my favourite place for dinner! SUSHI!!!! YUMMMMMMMM!!!!! So great! Of course the food was amazing, but I enjoyed staring across at my amazing husband who is so thoughtful and planned a most excellent birthday. Thank you Lord for him!
