25th of November - Food, Food, and More Food!

Yep! That about sums up my Thanksgiving day yesterday!  It started the night before when I prepared our special breakfast... that actually turned into the next morning because of how late I stayed up getting it ready :)  And then, it was up super early to get it in the oven before others in the house had to leave for Thursday morning Bible study.  It's a very strange thing celebrating a holiday that doesn't occur in the country you are living in.  For one thing, EVERYTHING is open because it's a normal business day for them.  Which, I actually like and have no complaints about because when I had to run to the market to get a few items, I didn't feel bad that they were working since it really isn't a holiday for them.  After running to the store on the corner a couple of times, it was time for baking and cooking, and then some more baking and cooking, and yet still more baking and cooking.  Finally, it was time for eating!  And then, some more eating... Let's just say we had plenty of food.  And, we even had leftovers tonight... which I was SUPER thankful for because that meant no cooking... only reheating!  Nice break.  Tomorrow is our church Thanksgiving so tomorrow will be spent cooking and baking again :)

Favorite memory of the day... Suz and I went to Starbucks after all that food to take them some desserts (dairy free pumpkin pie and chocolate chip cookie pie).  There were two workers there when we arrived and we of course gave them a very enthusiastic HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  Then followed this response by one of the guys behind the counter: CONGRATULATIONS!!  Bahahahahaha!!!!  This made me laugh seriously hard!  Seriously!  It was sooooo funny!  Then he said... "I don't really know if that's what I am suppose to say.  Actually, I don't really know what to say at all!"  Bahahahahahahaha!!!!  That seriously made me laugh even more!!  What a great way to end the night!

I am very thankful today that God provided food for us yesterday!  It was so enjoyable and I felt so blessed by the abundance!
